This is taken from 'Three Principles of the People' as extolled by Dr. Sun Yat Sen:
Nationalism (Minzu);
Democracy (MinQuan); and
People's Livelihood (Minsheng).These qualities live on in the daily life and governance of the people of Taiwan, an island molded by foreign influences and the earthly elements but with its native heart a resolute rock against all.
